How to get to Phuket?

Located 863 kilometers from Bangkok, you can reach Phuket from Bangkok by plane, train, or bus. The quickest and most convenient way is by plane. Flights are about 1.5 hours long with multiple flights leaving out of BKK (Suvarnabhumi Airport) and DMK(Don Mueang Int’l Airport) daily.

The Cheapest but longest way to get to Phuket is by bus. It can take between 13 to 15 hours depending on the traffic. You can take the public buses or reserve a private bus if you are looking for something with more comfort. Another option is by a combo of train and bus. Since there are no direct train stops to Phuket, you will have to take a 5-hour bus ride once you reach Surat Thani Station to get to Phuket.

Haggle for some must-have souvenirs, stop for some drinks and live music at one of many bars and nightclubs. Singles and/or couples looking for something more daring, check out the world famous go-go bars and see where the night takes you!

If neon lights, go-go bars, and cheap beers aren’t your type of vibe then head over to Simon Cabaret Phuket for an evening of glamour like no other! Like Boxing? Check out a live Muay Thai match at Patong Boxing Stadium at Sainamyen. Fight nights held a few times a week and each round will have you on the edge of your seat!
